Queen Sheba

Sheba studied belly dance & performed every chance she got for about 4 years in Dallas, Texas. About 2 years ago she had an opportunity to move to Jamaica with her husband, Mike.

“It's a wonderful island, a great adventure, but no belly dancing....yet! Jamaicans love to dance and they do it well.”

Sheba has been teaching some basic classes and has been working hard to get her students to the next level but she needed some help... and that's how JamaicaRaks came in to being.

With the help of her dance sisters Naciye & Leila, her daughter, Zahria, & her ever supportive husband, Mike Our Glorious Sultan, belly dancing is coming to Jamaica!

The Great Sultan

Married to Queen Sheba, our Great Sultan Mike has reveled in his role. Charming and gregarious Mike is well known on the island of Jamaica as "3 burner". This title has caused an occasional public disturbance which our Great Sultan enjoys tremendously!

Lelya

A yoga instructor as well as belly dancer, Lelya sassy and playful attitude has charmed audiences. Her floorwork demonstrates the strength and flexibility earned from years of yoga instruction.

Naciye

An avid fan and student of belly dance since 2001, Naciye has been known to drive 900 miles (one-way) to study with her idols. Naciye graceful and passionate performances have enchanted audience members far and wide.
